The Powers Shatterglass is a fantasy roleplay, thus wolves are allowed to have one power. The powers are listed below. The first post contains ‘common’ powers, which require no sample post. The second post contains ‘secondary’ powers, and the third post are restricted powers. Secondary and restricted powers will require sample posts of 500 and 700, respectively. Restricted powers also require staff permission [just ask nicely!] and cannot be applied to a first character. If you’re already writing a post of that length due to mutation requirements, please add another 100 words for a secondary power or 150 words for a restricted power.
Powers have no official levels, but most wolves will be pretty bad with their powers as pups, and reach full power at about four years of age, so please keep their experience in mind.
Also note that all powers take energy to use. If you’re a water elemental and you summon a large amount of water, it will tire you.

Common Powers Elemental Powers With this power, your wolf can control one of the below elements. The elements are as listed below. If you have another one you'd like to suggest, PM me and I'll draw up some guidelines.
Water – water wolves can control the water element. When first stating they will be able to do little more that summon or purify very small amounts of water, but at full power they can summon amounts of water equivalent to a small lake and control it, and purify as much. Some can turn small parts of themselves into water. Water wolves can swim and hold their breath for longer than other wolves, but cannot breathe under water, and can drown. Often these wolves have a more serene personality. Fire – fire wolves can control the fire element. When first starting they will be able to do little more than send out sparks and can control flames about the size of a large candle, and put out flames about the size of a fire in a fireplace. At full power they can summon and manipulate larger amounts of fire, and could even put out a smallish forest fire if needed. Their ability to put out fire is greater than their ability to create it so they can stop the flames if they get too large to control. A fire wolf does not burn easily and can even set small areas of themselves on fire at full power, but they can still burn to death or die of heat. Fire wolves are famous for their tempers.
Earth – earth wolves can control the earth element. When first starting they can move small pebbles or coax plants to grow. At full power an earth elemental can uproot and move large amounts of the ground, and summon vines, ferns, flowers, and saplings, and control their motion and growth, and some can sink part of the way into the earth. They can handle the weight of the earth on top of them for longer than other wolves, but can still be smothered. Earth wolves are generally calm but stubborn.
Air/Weather – air wolves control the air and weather. When first starting they may be able to direct existing breezes and summon small amounts of mist. At full power an air wolf can summon and direct strong gusts of wind, pull down large amounts of thick mist, and even change the air temperature slightly. They can also influence the paths of clouds, and if rainclouds are overhead, they can induce rain but not control how hard it falls. They can dissolve parts of themselves into mist. Air wolves can steadfastly endure stronger winds than most wolves without their balance being affected, but strong gusts will make them stumble just as they would any other wolf. Air wolves are often swift, and dreamers.
Metal/Gemstones – metal wolves can control the metals and gemstones of the earth. When first starting they may be able only to locate metals and precious stones in the earth with rough accuracy. At full power, they can locate metals and precious stones and draw them from the earth, and shape them into different forms. By manipulating these things, they can make jewelry and even armor for themselves or others. Metal wolves are hallmarked by creativity.
Ice – ice wolves can control the ice element. When first starting they can freeze or unfreeze small amounts of o-hand water. At full power, they can summon and control larger amounts of ice, and unfreeze ice. They can even encase small parts of themselves in ice. It’s harder to kill an ice wolf from cold than a normal wolf, but they can freeze to death. Ice wolves are often light in color.

Secondary Powers Healing – healers deal with the overall health of themselves and others. When first starting, wolves may be able to close small cuts and heal small bruises. At full power, a wolf can mend broken bones within an hour, close cuts and heal bruises, but cannot prevent scarring. Healers can also deal with ‘energy’ of wolves, or fiddle with their fatigue. They can ‘donate’ their energy to another wolf, [this ability cannot be used to support another wolf in an official challenge!], or they can ‘drain’ energy from a wolf, however all energy they drained from their opponent is also drained from them.
Concentration – the ability to concentrate things around you into beams, sort of like a mirroring power. When first starting, wolves may be able to slightly bend beams of light in different directions, or coax fire to burn in a slightly straighter line. At full power, wolves able to concentrate can bend air, light, water, and fire into a straight beam about a foot in diameter. They can only work with things that are there though, therefore the can’t concentrate fire if there is no fire, and can only work in proportion to their resources, so a candle flame couldn’t be bent into a foot wide column of flame. Concentrators tend to have great mental focus, as this is one of the harder powers to master.

Restricted Powers Shapeshifting – shifters can shift into other appearances. When first starting, wolves may be able to tint their fur different colors in places, or adjust the length of their fur. At full power, wolves can change into other animals, but only those that are less than twice their size, and real. They can also change themselves to look like other wolves, but their eye color will not ever change. Each wolf has one ‘fantasy’ shift, such as a dragon, unicorn, gryphon, etc. These must be less than twice that wolf’s size, and does not have additional powers . Shifts cannot be held for more than an hour, and more complex changes are harder to hold and will exhaust a wolf more.
