Shatterglass Bulletin

Hello Shatterglassians... Who are pretty much all Stoners at this point... But yeah. And by Stoners I mean members of Moonstone, not druggies. Just for clarification. 

Ahem. I am Gypsy. I have a couple of names and will answer to Gypsy, Zephyr, Stormbringer, and Sketchbook. And any nicknames of those [Gyp, Stormy, Zeph, Sketchy... Etc.]. I'll be honest and say that this is NOT the first time I've tried to open Shatterglass, but the other attempts were marked by a lack of devotion on my part - something you can expect not to see here. I would try to open this site while active on four or five others, but this time I am focusing only on Moonstone and Shatterglass, so I should be able to manage my time. 

I've been working on Shatterglass a long time now, and have worked out some of the obvious design flaws, however I can't just do this all by myself. I'm going to need imput, suggestions from the members, who clearly know the flaws. Shatterglass is not set in stone, but an evolving, almost living thing. It will change as we do, but I'd always like the core to remain the same - an open, accepting place for both advanced and new roleplayers to hone their skills and enjoy themselves. Therefore I ask that you do not berate anyone for their skill. We do ask that all posts are 200 words in length and over, and if you can post well over that, it's excellent. However, wordiness is not nessecarily next to godliness, so do not consider longer posts to make you superior. The only superior one here is me. I'm kidding, I'm kidding. 

The lowdown on me is that I've been roleplaying probably close to six years, though not continuously. I started with wolf roleplays and have done almost everything under the sun, or at least dabbled in it. My first character was one of those annoying, stoic, noble, inaccessable, beautiful leaderly types. I also created her mate under a false name and spent much time roleplaying with myself. Suffice to say I was an idiot and have matured a lot since then. I love to base characters around one essential quirk or point. Adili is someone who never had to grow up now forced to do a man's job. His character then fills out from there. Meg on Moonstone is a girl who likes the abstract concept of love, but is terribly afraid of falling in love. From there she develops a sharp tongue to hide her heart and an essentially sweet disposition to betray her fears, etc. Brielle, again from MS, is the girl who could never get over her first love. Jude is a battle between head and heart. All my characters are more than their flaw or quirk or event, but that one little thing is the basis for their creation. And they're also all reflections of myself. Adili appeared when I suddenly had too much responsibility. I am afraid of falling in love, it took me an eternity to get over my first love, my head and my heart are constantly going at it. And since I've always considered myself an essentially good person, if a little flawed, my characters end up that way, too. I've tried to write outright evil characters, or seductive characters, or materialistic characters... But I'm none of those things, and I can't write what I don't know. So that's how I design my characters. 

I love hearing suggestions for the site and am willing to make changes, so drop me a PM if you have an idea. I'm definitely an idea person, and I only have issues when it comes to the details. So if something's too vague, ask me. I'm more than happy to be specific when I know I need to be. 

Aaand that's about it. Oh. Except for staff auditions. I'm going to contact Ray, who I talked to over the summer about reopening Shatterglass. I'll defintely need at least one moderator, maybe two. And if Ray's not up to it, I'll probably need a co-admin, too. So I'll get staff auditions up on the Chatter board soon. 

Alpha auditions for the other packs will be held soon enough, I want to get some non-MS members first, though, so we have some variety. That's not to say none of you can be alphas, of course, it'll come down to who has the best post.

EDIT: Awesome news, guys. Ray's coming back. She was on the original Shatterglass and has been with me through it's subsequent reopenings. She was instrumental in planning the latest revamp and is, quite simply, awesome. I'm sure you'll all get along. She's just been emailed the link, so she'll probably show up next time she checks her email... Hopefully soon. Anyway, I want you guys to give her a hero's welcome for being so incredibly dedicated.
